Good manufacturing practices are essential for every manufacturing industry  in order to obey the guidelines suggested by agencies that control the approval and licensing for  the manufacture and sale of food, beverages, cosmetics and pharmaceutical products. The main purpose of GMP is always to prevent harm occurring to the end user from contamination. GMP is certified through the effective use of a quality management system.
